heart of hospice
oh shoot! i am so excited.
i received a call from cathy carter: executive director, Heart of Hospice Foundation and she asked me to create a custom backdrop + photobooth for their "My Dinner Party Launch Party" at The Pines on january 22.
oh shoot! i said to myself... can i do this??
YES! i can. i created a backdrop with hundreds of hand-cut paper hearts. it is always fun to incorporate props: so i created custom garland to match, leather heart headbands and we were lucky enough to have the original acrylic painting (of their logo) by artist mark nilsson.
thank you for the opportinity to serve you with an awesome photobooth!

now that i have created this photobooth idea... i kinda want to take it everywhere i go. i took my trusty canon powershot to a masquarade ball on new years and set up a little photobooth with a cool old clock mariva found. set to mid-night...
thank you laura for letting us use the pub...again. it is so perfect. i love the little photobooth nook.

H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y, jessica
i created a quick and inexpenive backdrop at the horse and hound pub for my 35th birthday. why not! i am on a role.
i added a little fun by baking 5 dozen cupcakes and having a cupcaked decorating contest: the winner was amy goheen and her unicorn cupcake!
special thanks to garth and gary for all their hot air blowing up the balloons.
thank you mariva for you mad bartending skills and your camera!! i heart you
thank you DJ swoop for the sweet tunes

my first photobooth went so well, i thought... hey, i should try this again. holiday season is coming and i shall tap into the ugly sweater fun. i asked by beautiful friends mariva + amarett to help me make it happen. together we created an evening of ugly sweaters, general holiday themed props and big smiles. thank you ponies!
the fun took place at the horse and hound pub in hood river, oregon.
we love the owner- laura! thank you
the photos below were taken at my home, for promo by mariva + amarett.

PINWHEEL PINWHEEL spinning around
i knew the backdrop would not be a challenge, i work locally as a window "dresser"
the whole camera set-up had me a little worried.
scott cook loaned me his camera and hooked it up to a tv--which was rad. i borrowed a trailer from discover bikes (thanks kurt + ali) disco and set up inside. (it is very rainy and cold in oregon in october). i re-used a large collection of hand-made pinwheels that i had created for my friend Casey @ her boutique: Parts + labour P+L. they were otherwise headed to be recycled... they had one last night of good fun, really good fun!
